New IMDB Plot Outline for Morgan please...

The IMDB Plot Outline for 'Morgan Stewart's Coming Home' never fails to annoy. A ripoff of 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'? I don't think so. Although 'Morgan...' was only released theatrically in 1987, it was actually made in 1985, a whole year before the debut of 'Ferris..'. And just where are the similarities? The two movies couldn't be any more different!

I have no problem with an individual expressing their opinions on a movie but please do so under User Comments. The Plot Outline should be just that and I feel it's high time the current one is either edited or removed entirely.

This movie never gets any respect... personally I'd rather watch this again over any of John Hughes' over-rated interchangable teen comedies. This movie may not be perfect but it's got heart... and soul!

Ok, I think you're stretching it a bit. This movie can't touch either Sixteen Candles or the Breakfast Club for heart or intelligence. I'd put it on about the same level as Weird Science, honestly...

It's got more substance than most teen movies of the day, but I don't think it was really that great of a movie in the grand scheme of things... it's just a funny, interesting little movie with a pretty good cast and a lot of memorable lines. I haven't seen the movie in well over 10 years, but I still love the line "This must be where they keep the iguanas." I also think it has one of the best shower scenes since Psycho...

As for comparing it to Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I agree that they're two totally different movies. The biggest similarity is the formatting of the titles, but honestly that and the fact that Cryer was in Pretty In Pink is one of the only reasons this movie got its limited theatrical release at all instead of going straight to video.

Good on IMDB for removing the offending Plot Outline. Vote Stewart!

Since we are able to "chat" with other IMDB members this way, couldn't you have changed the IMDB plot outline?

"Just because I'm moody, doesn't mean you're not irritating!"

I tried. It wouldn't let me. I messaged IMDB. Problem resolved.
