This movie is way better than many of the WWII movies made in the 70's and 80's that are so called B movies. it is just as good as The Dirty Dozen and MUCH better than movies such as the Black Brigade and all the rest B WWII movies of the 80's. I thought it was going to suck but it is actually really really good!
give it a shot if u find it on video like I did for a dollar!

I can only assume the person who wrote that just likes to see his words in print and clearly does not know any thing about what he pontificates about!
This sadly goes for at least 75% to 80% of the film write up on this site!
It's not crap, sure there are cheesy moments but it not crap. Always get a kick of watching it :)
shareI read a few of the Sven Hassel books many years ago and seem to remember them being quite brutal-more reminiscent of the excellent "Cross of Iron".This is a cheaply made,lighthearted, although not remotely funny,piece of ...well... it`s been said on these boards."Kelly`s Heroes" it certainly ain`t either so quite where this sits I`m not sure.Carradine looks embarrassed and wonder how much they paid poor Ollie?I`m not bothered that the tanks are wrong or that it didn`t have a lot of money to play with-it`s just so poorly written and Brucie`s hair has far too much hairspray!
