I haven't seen this show before but the main character's name is RUDY, and I read on Canuxploitation that Rudy had a friend named Tripper (Bill Murrey's character from part 1).

shareI own the movie now. Thank God I found it, it is a kick ass sex comedy, way better than the original, and way better than part 2 and 4.
Patrick Dempsey was a better looking Rudy too.
PS: I found out it was the same character, but different actor.

IT MAY BE THE SAME CHARACTER, BUT HE LOOKS SOOOOO -(too) DIFFERENT.
I THINK THAT EACH "MEATBALLS" MOVIE =The original(1979-80), PART 2 (1984-5), the dreadful "Corey Feldman' vehicle,'Part 4'(1992). And including the un-official fifth (5th) "MEATBALLS" (remake)- "WET HOT-AMERICAN SUMMER"(1999), stands on its own.
Perhaps, maybe - with the exception of the first sequel(Part 2) - neither movie really connects -nor follows the ending of the previous storyline (picture/film). Both (films) take place, pressumably in the same 'Summer Camp,' or nearby.
Yes same character, different actor. I'm acually watching it now. I picked it up at the local video store for $2...lol... It's ok, but i'm sick so i'm just watching it for the boobies. They will make me feel better... Anyways back to the movie.

The first Rudy from meetballs i havent seen on tv or in movies in well i may have seen him but havent remembered him but the rudy from part three whis is the same Character, listen people same Character but different actor, the rudy from part 3 is Mc Dreamy from Greys Anatomy...

P.S. He gets a letter from the big "scary" dude and it's from the guy who manages the camp from the original meetballs you know the character Bill Murry plays? Anyways the letter says something like this: i sold the letter to (big scary guy) and told him that i promised you a summer job. I'm now somewhere mud wrestleing with asian chicks, talk to (big scary guy) and he will set you up. From your pal (Bill Murry's character in the first 1)." Now it's been a year and alot has happend so i can't reciet it off by heart but it goes something like that...
Chris Makepeace the original Rudy.. kind of faded out from acting quickly.. but was in the film "My Bodyguard" with a young Adam Baldwin and Matt Dillon. If you weren't aware. "My Bodyguard" is actually fairly fondly remembered.. Baldwin, whose went on to work quite a bit mostly known for his TV work "Chuck", "Firefly" actually lampooned his role in that film in the very similar themed "Drillbit Taylor" (even going so far as to wear the same kind of jacket he did in the original film while mocking the entire concept of it).
