Creasy = Kersey ?

Couldn't help but noticing how similar the names of Scott Glenn's characer and Charles Bronson's character from Death Wish (1974) are. Maybe A.J. Quinnell (who wrote the novel this movie was based on) was a Death Wish fan? Not to mention that the plot is essentially similar.
