BUY THE DVD!!!! SERIOUS!

they have it on DVD. Buy it! I just did

How was the quality? I bought one from another website and the quality was horrible (more than I remembered). I know it's an old film, but it couldn't possibly have sucked this much on TV (saw it play on HBO years ago). I mean, if it did, they wouldn't have been able to play it on TV (whoever played it would prolly have had their head taken by their employers).

must have been a problem - site is gone

Now it's being advertised by nocturnal pictures. Since the official DVD hasn't been released, I wonder what they're selling? Maybe they made a copy of the VHS tape and burned it onto a DVD. I have a machine that lets me do that, but the quality is bad.

The company doesn't seem to be very reputable. The website isn't even finished. If the quality is bad, you probably can't return it. When you look at the policy page, this is all it says

NocturnalPictures offers the following Returns Policy:

NOTHING!

Yeah right after I left my comment I bought it, and it was crappy quality. It was worse than VHS. I mean, I've seen people port VHS to DVD; it wouldn't really be DVD quality - maybe VCD, and this wasn't even it.

reply

It's available now on the Warner Brothers Archive site. It's a DVD-R but an official release and usually the quality is pretty good.

MADE IN HEAVEN now has an official WIDESCREEN release through the Warner Archive - a collection of films that "aren't popular enough" to afford a release in stores. But the best masters are used and you can even view a sample clip of the DVD to see the quality. I've purchased other widescreen films from them, and they were ANAMORPHIC (widescreen enhanced) and looked awesome!!!

Thanks, Grinny! I just went there and ordered it. I hope you get a commission! :)
I love this movie!

reply

No commission! Just glad to see all the fans finally get it - I know a LOT of people have been waiting for it for a long time. And the Warner Archives have been releasing a LOT of peoples wishlists!!! I keep up on all the DVD & Blu-ray news and like to spread the word.

I'm also a BIG FAN of Matraca Berg, who appears in this film. She's the singer in the studio recording "We've Never Danced" - but the credits do not credit her in the song, so most people think that Martha Davis is the person in the studio because she is the one singing the song during the end credits AND the only one credited with the song.

reply

Yup, im one of the lucky people who own this great extremely rare title. Quality is superbe indeed by the company they called Archive...lalala. Not long ago, i was after Electric Dreams ...ahh lifes been good!

reply

I just ordered it! It's on sale now for $13.96 with free shipping!

You have a quote from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" - one of my favorites quotes from one of the best TV shows ever - as your sig and you didn't credit it! Boo, stealing from the Jossverse is not nice! Give credit, people, you bothered putting quotation marks around it...!
