Without a doubt has THE best soundtrack ever in a movie

Just every song in this movie is awesome and perfect for the scene, the opening tittle sequence with Cry Littler Sister gives me chills everytime i watch it, then People Are Strange as it shows the town of Santa Carla was amazing. Lost In The Shadows as David and the gang is riding their motorcycles on the beach, just every scene with a song gives me chills, even the background songs thats playing on a radio or something is good.

I just can't think of 1 single song i dislike in this movie, its the perfect soundtrack.

This and the Crow. I'd be hard pressed to say which is better.

reply

Those do look good. My favorite soundtrack of all time is from "The Big Chill". It's better than the movie itself.

"Every night I burn..."

What a song.

Best crow song

reply

I agree!

reply

Yeah it's fantastic. Love how eclectic it is and the main theme is just bizarrely brilliant - baroque organ and a girls choir? But it works.

reply

I had the soundtrack on cassette tape and played it constantly for months. Great 80s film!

reply

Truth. It is part of what the movie relied on. Style. Style over substance, in fact. The movie is actually terrible but is enjoyable for its outstanding flair for the zeitgeist and occasional humor.

reply

The songs are good, but I just watched it and noticed several of them were cover versions, and not the original artist.

reply

I don't know about it being the best soundtrack ever. But I definitely liked it. That song Cry Little Sister is so hypnotically good.

reply

I don't agree. It is a good soundtrack though.

reply

For me it's up there with Braveheart. Of course the music genre's couldn't be any more different.

reply

you're confusing soundtrack with score.

reply

Yes. What's the difference and which movie are u referring to?

reply

A score is the specific musical piece or incidental music that accompanies a scene or moment in the film, and a soundtrack is the compilation of songs and sounds that comprise all of the film's music

reply

That makes sense thank you!

reply

It could have only happened in the 80's! If they remade that film now it would be hip hop and the lost boys wouldn't be able to hang upside down off a bridge because their loose fitting pants would fall up over the heads!
