I think The Lost Boys should get re-released next year to celebrate its 30th anniversary, preferably over Halloween. I love this movie!
shareThey really should; TCM has been re-releasing old films in the theaters lately, including Dr. Strangelove, Taxi Driver, and Ferris Beuller, so there should be no reason why they couldn't do the same with The Lost Boys.
shareFor its 30th anniversary they showed it twice at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (2nd time in October) where all the boardwalk/amusement park scenes in the movie were filmed.
While I would have liked for it to get played at a movie theater nearby, it doesn’t get any cooler than watching it in the place it was shot. I almost went but.. I didn’t.
They show it every year, actually. Maybe they did something special though. Man, I remember that comic shop vividly when I was a kid. The '89 quake destroyed it and they moved up the street.
