Don't get me wrong, i loved this movie, but i watched the dubbed version and, that sorta ruins great forign film, because no matter how hard they try the can never get the mouth to right with it or, the right people as their voices,
i could not find the subtitled version anywhere, can anybody help me find it, or is there even one? Thanks for the help!
the uk region 2 version is both dubbed and subtitled depending on how you watch the movie.

shareThe subtitles on the English version are dreadful! Half of the time they make no sense and the other half they go so fast you can't even read the dialogue! It's times like this that I wish I could speak every language in the world so I didn't have to rely on subtitles.

yeah i just watched this from netflix. I was dissapointed that there was no subtitle options on the DVD. The dubbing was not the worst i've seen but it does take away from the movie.
"After a while all I'm doing is punching wet chips of bone into the floorboards. So I stop"
The dubbing for me was awful. I turned the sound down after 15 mins and put on the deaf subtitles. Still enjoyed the film.
shareThis film was dubbed poorly. With very few exceptions dubbing languages in films takes away quality. I don't mind the lack of lip sync so much as 2 other issues I find much more disturbing.
1. Many times the voices don't seem to match the characters appearance. Also there seems to be much less time spent on directing voices for dubs. This often leads to poor, and unbelievable vocal performances.
2. There are issues with converting one language to another. Sometimes there are many words that could mean the same as others, though some word choices are more powerful then others. Choices of words when translating can often alter meanings and emotions meant to be conveyed. Sayings, and slag are often butchered to the point that it's comical.
Subtitles often share the problem with my number 2 example. It would be great if studios invested the time and money needed to fix these issues. I think many more people would watch more foreign films, if it were the case.
The dubbing was bad. The translation on the US version was just about as bad.
Is the subtitle translation better on the non-US versions?
