I'm really surprised that QT has seen this movie, to be honest.

I don't care if Reservoir Dogs borrows plot elements from this movie. The fact that a Caucasian director is willing to watch foreign films (especially HK ones) and acknowledges it as his favorite says a lot about him to me.

QT = awesome.

I don't care if I'm not known. The fact that a Caucasian nobody (me) is willing to watch foreign films (from every part of the globe) and acknowledges the ones he liked as his favorites says a lot about him to anyone.

ME = awesome.

Oh what a fantastic person Tarantino is! Like the other poster i myself watch foreign films does that mean i deserve an award for that! Tarantino first denied ever seeing 'City on fire' prior to making Reservior dogs, so to me that means that he didnt 'borrrow' plot elements from the film but stole them so he could call them his own.

QT = overrated and a washed up director that hasen't made a good film in 13 years.

Re-read your post. Does it make any sense to you?

OH,please---I'm black and I've been watching foreign films for years---there's nothing special about that,just something I've always liked to do. What's so special about a Caucasian director watching foreign films, as as if that somehow validates their existence, which it dosen't? Big deal.
