This wasn't a bad movie
I do agree that Tarantino borrowed the basic essence of the plot and details (the heist, the suits, some dialogue) to mesh out a sorta calatogue of the heist film's greatest hits. It's not "wrip off" like some folks say, more of a homage. Even though I say those words with a degree of hesitation given Tarantino's track record borrowing form other films.
Reservoir Dogs to me is still his best film because of the character's dynamic relationships and while City On Fire is a perfectilly fine film for the genre, it doesn't hold up as well in repeated viewings like RD does.
Man, I hope Tarantino doesn't touch elements of Battle Royale in whatever he's working on next, that would be a crime.
