The best Bond poster?

I think TLD might have the best Bond poster. Dalton's figure at the background is a bit stiff, but that girl in front is some eye candy...

You might be right. I've never thought about it before, but I'm going through the poster library and yeah, The Living Daylights is a great poster. For Your Eyes Only has a similar vibe, but having the girl off-set instead of, er...straddling the frame is better, I think.

The early ones are a little too "busy" for my taste, although I do rather like Dr. No's, which uses a longer-than-tall approach that gives it some flair.

Die Anther Day's actually isn't bad.

Casino Royale's is pretty awesome - the one with Bond in shadows at the poker table. It doesn't have the sex appeal (unless you're into Daniel Craig, of course!) but it's slick and cool.

So, I might ultimately say it's a tie between CR and TLD.

Yes, I also like CR poker table poster!

It would be if it was Olivia's young tight bum in that silhouette. Maryam never did anything for me.

I always thought the female looked super awkward in the that pose. I get they are going for a 'boobs and butt' thing, but no actual woman could/would stand like that.

Years ago, I saw some comedy bit by a comedienne where she re-enacted typical female superhero poses as usually drawn by male artists. It was a great bit because few real women could actually pose like they are drawn. And, if they could, they would actually look hilariously funny, not sexy.

Unrelated, Dalton looks like he's doing Broadway dance moves.

I'm not sure realistic is what the creators of comic books are going for; neither are the Bond poster people.

I do think it's funny when people call out the hilariousness of those poses, though.

reply

Yeah, I think this is probably the best poster. Yowza, what a babe!

I honestly prefer the other poster (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/25051341660713015/), but I do acknowledge that poster with Bond aiming at his gun at the woman does grab your attention.

I wasn't a big fan of the movie, but I completely agree that it's the best Bond poster.

it's one of my favorites
