Lets face it without him Koskov and Whitaker would have not got any where with their plans.

Yes, he was a very competent henchman.

He also looked pretty damn good in that speedo.

I watched this again last night and yes he's very good at what he does. Watching his death scene made me realize it makes no sense. He's holding on to James Bond's boot and Bond is about to cut it away and he yells please don't do that. But there are plenty of things for him to hold on right next to the boot ... Why not just let go of the boot and grab some rope?
