Does anyone know if there will be a DVD of this movie in the near future?
i own it on VHS, its great, but i'd LOVE to see it on DVD.

There is no listings of Lily Cat for DVD. I saw the VHS version and the theater release. It was originally mastered for wide screen and looked much better. The animation on the cat was the most realistic that I had seen up until that time.

If there's some possible way I think we sould form some sort of petition and send it to the company that released it on VHS to re-release it on DVD (that would be so kick ass ^^) So Lily C.A.T was actualy in theatres back in 87'? Was it here in the states or over in Japan or somewhere? How do you know that it was originally mastered for wide screen? Is there anything else you know about this movie?

a petition is not the worst idea actually
i only own the german vhs tape, its japanese with german subs, uncut and 4:3 format (just if anyone cares)

I'd love a dvd of this. Too bad the only thing that's out there are bootlegs of the vhs.

The DVD can be found on Amazon, it was released on Feb. 25th (Tuesday). I just got my copy today.
