The Mall In the Film

Does anyone know what and where that mall in the film is? There was only two scenes with it and the stores included were (I think) Montgomery Ward, Wallgreen's and Woolworth's. I know part of this movie was filmed in Cleveland and while I lived in Cleveland around the time this film was made, that mall was definately not in Cleveland since there were no Walgreen's there in the 80s.

The Yorktown Shopping Center in Lombard, Illinois is listed.

yep. i worked there at the time, and got to watch the crew set up, and even some filming, on my lunch breaks. very cool!
