Why it's not on DVD

There's a scene where Joan Jett and Michael J. Fox are slow dancing to a song that's playing on the radio. Warner Brothers owns the copyright to the song and won't give permission to Sony for a home video release. I found this out by accident when I posted a clip with that scene on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLh286QolRM

Well, that just sucks!

But if they really wanted to release it, they could easily replace that song with something else. They do it on DVD releases of old TV shows all the time when they don't want to pay for the rights. I hate WMG, btw. They're such buzz killers.

The movie is available on DVD in Germany (PAL, Region 2). So dont give up hope for an international release!!

However - this is dubbed in German, doesn't have subtitles and is formatted @ 1.33:1 - aka a "Full-screen version" so the image gets chopped off on the left and right.
