if you like the french song get the best version around the one by Edith Piaf, you wont regret it.

Édith Piaf never sang (or at least recorded) Ne me quitte pas.... I hope that's the joke.

There's plenty of YouTube of her interpretation.

Sorry, but that definitely is NOT Edith Piaf singing. It is Mireille Mathieu !! I love both ladies and have tons of recordings by them, so I do know the difference.

You've done some bad things, sweetie.

I love the music in this movie... especially "Lo dudo" por los Panchos at the end. Its so sad.

One of the things I like the most from Almodóvar films, is how he uses latin-american songs in his movies. From rancheras to tangos through mexican and cuban boleros. Pedro has a great musical taste.
Perhaps the reason why he chooses this kind of songs, is because rancheras, boleros, tangos, etc. have something in common: They are about tragedies, lost love, betrayal, desire, lust, hate, passion.
Just watch that scene in "La ley del deseo" where Pablo and Antonio are together and then the wonderful music by Los Panchos starts playing "Lo dudo" ("I doubt it"). Excellent!
