Julian's last hit

Did he score some crack when he was in the car while Clay and Blair were fighting Rip and Hop in the house?
I'm assuming that he used one last time at the gas station when he was in the bathroom.

According to the follow-up book, Julian's still alive and a call boy in "Imperial Bedrooms" by Ellis! What happened? Are we sure he died in the car driving back to Clay's school? 

Clay and Blair were at the cemetery in the very last scene, after they stopped the car in the middle of the highway and tried to wake Julian up.

In book Imperial bedrooms the characters from the book less then zero go to see the film less then zero and the real Julian Wells doesn't die.
So Julian in the film did die but Julian in the book is alive 20 + years later.

~This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time.

He was doing freebase and was 'rescued ' . He did no drugs in the car . The 3 of them were together the whole time and he just dies like an old man from old age .

reply

You can assume that he did/bought something while Clay went inside the party to get Blair. He was also alone at the gas station. There was time for him to do another hit after whatever else he did at that house.

What drug could he have done to be able to get to the car without much of a problem but keel over a couple hours later? I kind of agree with you, it seems like an intentional overdose but I don't know of any street drugs where it's possible.

reply

Exactly - he used at the gas station and finally gave out in the car.
