He Marked The End Of An Era For China.......

as the political changes of the world started taking effect in the 20th Century. That's what I liked about this film, it clearly depicted a strong wave of change in a country and how it strongly affected the life of one individual and those around him. A remarkable film.

Okay if you say so. I got that impression from the film but still, don't know much about Chinese history.

Indeed, it's much more than a biopic. Truly a great epic.
