how do you get the director's cut?? is the Criterion DVD the 225 minute version??
shareI originally saw the theatrical cut and loved it. Years later, I saw the Director's Cut, and had a hard time sitting thru it.
The thing about Director's Cuts is that, all too often, the pacing is wrong even though it obviously gets in material he wanted that wasn't there in a theatrical cut.
But when it moves at a snails pace, as the Director's Cut does, it doesn't help --- and I'm not one of these viewers who needs a lightning speed from my movies, either.
