An Indian looking Jackie Wilson?

I don't know if he is african american himself, but he looked indian in this movie, I was really confused.

Ironically, in real life Huntsberry was born in the same neighborhood (Pacoima) , as Valens. Huntsberry's R&B group Klique had their highest charting single with a Jackie Wilson cover. Here's a c. 1984 photo of the group : http://www.soulwalking.co.uk/Klique.html

LOL, that's the reason I came here. I thought it was a white dude made up to look black. Had to Google the actor.
