godard and kozintsev

Godard worked in a nice little hommage to Grigori Kozintsev's Russian version of King Lear here. Did you notice in the movie theater where Burgess Meredith and Molly Ringwald are listening to a film in Russian? That was the Kozintsev version.
Also, when Peter Sellars interrogates Molly in her bedroom, the dialogue is taken (with a few changes) from Bresson's Trial of Joan of Arc.
