The piece of wood Sean had to take care of and the one that washed up on the beach during the ferry scene where Ellen was sobbing while Michael was swinging Thea around is the same one the shark from Jaws 2 bit into that electrocuted it. Too bad the water washed off the late Martin Brody's fingerprints :)

I think the lighthouse in the background is also the same one in Jaws 2 near cable junction.
