What happened to....

Lt. Perkins, I wonder? I enjoyed James Dixon in all three films, and I was a bit disappointed that there was no resolution for his character in the film. obviously he stood a better chance of surviving on the island than on the boat, but it would have been nice to knowe that Jarvis sent a boat back for him, or told someone where to find him.
