This movie aint that bad.

It has a few funny moments, Charles Grodin makes me laugh out loud. I have seen alot worse than this. Don't care what the critics say, I am having no trouble watching this. It could have been better but its a screw ball comedy and not a serious film.

I generally agree. I watched this because I had seen some really bad movies, and I wanted to see what an officially bad movie experience was like, to recalibrate myself.

But there's nothing wrong with this movie. There is no way that most of the people who rated this so low actually saw it.

It's not a masterpiece, but it's a quite enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours or whatever it is.

I would categorize it alongside the average Will Ferrell or Christopher Guest movies. The humor is somewhere in between those flavors.

Agreed. I just watched this because it's one of the last days it will be on Netflix. I went into Ishtar not expecting much and there were moments where I actually laughed out loud.

This weekend I also watched Coffee & Cigarettes and Minnie & Moscowitz. Both of those films were rated as 7 or above on imdb and reviews said they had "hilarious" moments. Coffee & Cigarettes was incredibly boring while Minnie & Moscowitz was horrifyingly misogynistic. Neither one had funny moments at all. I'm kinda pissed off I watched them. Ishtar didn't piss me off.

The people you idolize wouldn't like you.
