Just saw this because I'd DVR'd it off Showtime few weeks ago and even though quite depressing I thought it was amazing film with great acting. Only thing that I didn't really get--what exactly did Helen (Meryl Streep) die of? She was limping alot and seemed to be in pain near the end there after she took a bath and all that but was just curious what exactly happened? I'm assuming someting to do w/ all her drinking and whatnot...

i think it was stomach cancer,remember she couldn't eat the toast in the dinner, and she wouldn't eat the cheese sandwich francis tried to feed her.
