John Hately

The stunt man credits at the end of the movie list John Hately. He was the guy on the motorcycle who went under Martin Short, between the Mustang and the refrigerator truck. In addition to being a stunt man, Hately was one of the most talented motorcycle speedway and flat-track racers of the late 1960s and 1970s. At that time, he could be seen racing frequently at Whiteman Speedway in Pacoima and Ascot Park Raceway in Gardena. Both of those race tracks are long gone.
