First 'selfie'???

Walking through the lab at the beginning of the movie, Tuck grabs a Polaroid camera and snaps a selfie with a female lab worker. I don't remember seeing an example of a 'selfie' in movies any earlier. Does anyone know of an earlier 'selfie' than 1987?

I think it's funny that people think selfies are a new thing. I'm pretty sure people have been doing them since owning cameras became more popular. (So maybe the 60s?)
People are just obsessed over taking selfies in the past year because we've become a self-centered society.
(Sorry, this selfie trend bugs me.)

I think it's funny that you missed the part where I clearly said "in movies", not in life.

They used to have little booths where you could go in and take four selfies in a row.

See Meg Ryan now at "Fan Girl,2015" she made selfie with "Apple i4" by the way, erotic and very sly

It's not a movie, but Steve Martin took a selfie on "Saturday Night Live" around 1976 or '77. In real life, people have been doing it since there were hand-held cameras that would focus within two feet.
