The REAL Ellsworth 'Sonny' Wisecarver Died Nov. 22, 2005

Ellsworth "Sonny" Wisecarver, who was portrayed on screen by actor Patrick Dempsey, in the 1987 romantic comedy "In The Mood" AKA "The Woo Woo Kid" died on November 22, 2005, according to(article written Dec. 5, 2005) the Press Enterprise,a Riverside County, California newspaper. Wisecarver had suffered from lung cancer and died at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. He was 76-years-old.

He resided in a Yucaipa, California mobile home park after suffering a stroke according to the article and held a variety of jobs throughout his life from running an adult bookstore to telephone installer. The article also stated that he had served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

I did a Google Image search with his name and found three photographs of the real Sonny Wisecarver. He *is* an attractive guy. I guess I should say, *was*... And Patrick Dempsey was a great choice of actor cast to portray Sonny. Patrick Dempsey is himself a very attractive and charismatic individual.
