i can remember the first time i watched this film it was in the lost days of my youth very high on drugs and beeing thourghly impressed , i mean for what it is i wouldent hold it to such films as ikiru and 8 1/2 for what it is tho is completely watchable with a pretty impresive soundtrack to those who love the cheeze of a c film from the late 80s i would recomend this film but you must understand never to hold this film up too high it is great for what it is a semi emotional tale of a zombie teenager in intermoil over his freakish apperence which a lot of us felt one time or another

You know,..your right. It has the potential of being, a very interesting remake. Better than half the stuff they're butchering right now.

I saw the beginning of it in IFC and liked it, the whole marajahoobie *beep* and all and the whacked out neighbor, its like a so bad its good kind of comedy that you cant help but watch because of it's awesome cheesiness. I got the old VHS from 1987 i think in mint condition from Ebay for like $4 with shipping and handling!

Yup i have that version too. The dvd version looks a little bit better but its rather pricey so id stick with the vhs. I bought the dvd because i wanted the portability factor.

Watch Twin Peaks (1990), its the best damn show ever made and is on DVD!

Your standards have to be pretty low to call it a cult classic, but it was fun to make. When the guy who was doing the foreign first saw the final cut he told me it could have been a really decent film if we had a million dollars. Sure, we had enough trouble raising the little we did make it with. But the soundtrack is really good. Spent more time getting the music then making the film.

Hey Germinate, what did you do on the film?
And yeah sure, i agree the budget and acting is cheesy but many of us grew up watching mystery science theater and being jaded generation x kids who are chock full of sarcasm and a cheesy low budget rock n roll zombie movie about smoking teenage slackers? Thats right up my alley!
And I totally dig the film, its a funny flick.
