A waste of time

I read the "plotline" for this film before actually watching it. And YES, I DID watch it TILL THE END. A feat in itself!

Going back to the plotline, which says: "A strange race of human-like marsupials appear suddenly in Australia, and a middle-aged sociologist who studies these creatures falls in love with a female one..."

Err, the first bit is true, but the middle-aged socialogist falling in love bit doesn't come until 15 minutes from the end!

It's a crappy young casting agent who falls in love with a supposed werewolf.

The end isn't predicable, but I ended up thinking, "so what..."

On a score of 1-10, I'd give it just 1 coz the actors and cameramen turned up.

I won't bore people with "spoilers", coz there aren't any.

Who cares when the middle-aged sociologist falls in love with the werewolf? The movie's about a race of creatures that humans are trying to destroy just because they're different. Feel better now? You can't fault a movie for one plot synposis that was wrong. You're trying too hard.

This is a great movie. Sometimes it's so disgusting (the birth / baby in the pouch stuff is still the hardest thing for me to watch in the entire horror genre, that and the guy drooling in The Dead Next Door) that it's impossible to look at the screen, but it's still a great movie.

My DVD actually says that the sociologist falls in love with Jerboa which isn't right but I wasn't too offended by a tiny little error. The story is very crazy, so much in fact that I thought I wasn't understanding it correctly, but crazy is good sometimes. I thought the movie was fun.

Death lives in the Vault of Horror!
