ami the only one who thought that this was actually a pretty good movie?

It was funny and interesting, and it held my attention. why does everyone hate it?

reply

Is this the one where somewhere in the beginning of the movie it is set at a dancing or ballerina audition and while the lady is twirling around she gradually turns into a werewolf?

reply

well, at the beginning of this one, a marsupial werewolf guy is tied to a cross or a tree or something and then set on fire.

This is a great movie. I think it's really smart and funny...it knows exactly what it is and doesn't take itself too seriously.

A little underrated gem, IMO.

Not everyone hates it. There is a tiny, itty bitty, teeny weeny infintesismal minute, weeeeeeeeeee speck of genre junkies who kinda almost like it. I'm a collector of horror flicks and I've never had the heart to throw out my VHS version. Gotta get a DVD

I LOVE it! Always Have! Always Will!

Nice one dickbrain...

I like it. It was fun, bizare, clever and strangely poignant in a way.

There's always been something about Howling III that
draws me back. It's almost Ed Woodian... a spoof that
isn't sure if it's a spoof, a horror movie that's only
scary because it's so strange.
There are interesting concepts thrown in, but quite
under-used. The 1905 B/W ritual on film and backstory, bizare australian
mythos about the Taz Tiger/Wolf, werewolf hillbilly witches,
many things could have been expanded to create a more
interesting cult movie.

Instead, we spend time on sweaty scenes,
a 2 man "Omega" team that dies almost instantly,
and we're supposed to buy the "25 years later" nonsense.
The kid (all grown up) at the end was the worst (non)actor
in the production. Who was he related to, the director?

But these failings are, when not too painful, somewhat funny.
It's just such a weird combination that it finds it's way
back into the DVD player every once in again...

No, it's a great movie.

It's been said before--this movie had a lot of really great ideas, but the execution lack for want of money. If they remade it today, not too seriously mind you, it could be amazing.

As it is, it's a great story to *hear* about if not watch. And Jerboa is smoking. :)

Because they're idiots.

I didn't like the script much but, it had a wonderful cast!

This is a pretty bizarre series. With III probably being the strangest.
