Another Question About the Ending - SPOILER

Like many here, I was very disappointed in the ending because I was expecting a final con. To recap: after Margaret finds out that she’s been had, she confronts Mike in the airport, stating her plan to run away with him and her stash of $250K. After Mike reads her ‘tell’, an argument ensues between them, after which she pulls out the gun and shoots him dead. So the question is; what was her original plan at the airport? Was she really planning to run off with the guy who lied to her, swindled her out of $80K, and (in her own words) raped her, or was her only plan to kill him? If it’s latter, why would she choose to do this at a busy airport where there’s lots of people, security personnel, and little means of escape. Wouldn’t it have made more sense to try to arrange a private meeting with him?

I don't think she brought all the money. She just said that to lure him to an isolated place. Once she realized she had been taken and was not on the inside, she was only there for revenge. As she said, "Beg for your life or I'm going to kill you." Perhaps that was true, but Mike refused to beg. The gun was not hers, the airport was a busy place where thousands of people go in and out every hour, she was just another traveler, with no connection to the dead guy. His friends couldn't rat her out, because that would implicate themselves in crimes. Since he was going to the airport,(to leave town) his friends wouldn't even know he was missing for months.
No one saw her do it. They are not going to look too hard for the killer of a dead grifter.

Yes she was just out to kill the guy, and I doubt she had much, if any, money in the bag. Large plot hole though: When they opened the door to the luggage bay it would have set off an alarm.
