The mask gramps is wearing...

When they first dig up gramps, he is wearing a mask...I *think* it is a the same mask from the movie, The Mask, http://imdb.com/title/tt0055151/ ... if so that would be a pretty cool homage to a pretty cool 3d movie...? Thoughts for those who have seen both films?
