Never knew there was a sequel to House... So I just watched this...

.. Wow.

Absolutely nothing like the first, other than that Zwwwaaaa sound effect they used a lot, the idea of entering another dimension through the house, and the fact that there is.. yes.. a house.


So.. Right I'm still trying to piece together what I just watched.


Early in the film, it felt like it was going no where.. felt kind of bad.. never particularly funny... but it just kept on stacking the wackiness and at some point it developed charm, despite still not really being funny.

The fact that the Caterpuppy exists gives it a few stars, in my book... and that his new 'family' consists of his doofy best friend, a pterosaur, a dog caterpillar, and some aztec virgin.. Just really silly..


I was expecting a horror/comedy film the likes of the first, but instead got a fantasy adventure film aimed at kids..

Overall though, I enjoyed the props, the special effects, etc. The actors were endearing despite there being very little functional comedy.. NO nostalgia value here, as I didn't see it as a kid, so I think I'd give it a solid 5.0/10.
