Missing Scene on DVD vs. VHS (Spoilers)

I saw The Hidden on VHS back in the early 1990s, and I seem to remember a scene that was not on the DVD involving the John Miller character (played by William Boyett). He's the 60 year old who's possessed at the hospital after the initial possessed character dies. He rips off tapes at the music store, beats the clerk to death, then steals a boom box.

Anyway, the John Miller character has a confrontation with a group of young black gang bangers. They're all full of themselves figuring this "old man" will be easy pickings. They shoot him several times, all without effect, then he proceeds to kill them.

That scene must have been from another movie, one with a similar theme. Was there a The Hidden 2? Does anyone remember the scene I'm describing and what movie it might have been?

I can't help you out with what film the scene you're describing is from, but I saw 'The Hidden' three times at the theatres and had it on VHS, so I can tell you it's definitely not from 'The Hidden'.

That scene you are describing is from The Hidden 2. It was a homeless guy who got infected w/ the alien and robbed the boom box from a local auto shop. He came across this gang who started giving him problems then he handed the boom box after he was threatened then saw the car they had & wanted to steal it. He got into a fight w/ the gang leader who then shot him at point blank range but still was able to steal the car & the guy's gun after killing him. Unfortunately, i was one of those that saw this & wish I hadn't. It's terrible to compare to a great classic like The Hidden.
