I still love this movie?

This movie was so fun to watch when I was younger.. This was the tape to rent if you could get it back in the 6th grade. Yes, I did say tape, as in VHS! I'm probably a bit biased because my name is Viki, so I can totally relate to doing anything for the crown.. Lol! It was on tonight on cable, without commercials, so I'm watching it, and it's still amazing! I love this one and Slumber Party Massacre 2..

I like this one too, better than the first one, which is rare for me to like a sequel better. I like it because of the awesome character of Mary Lou. She's a great villainness.

Watched this last night, and I loved it! I love 80's horror but somehow missed this one; it was a blast!

I still own it on VHS. Unfortunately, it won't fit into my blu-ray player.

I do too?

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

I've always loved this movie.

It has a really odd vibe throughout it that propels it along nicely and although it borrows from CARRIE, ELM STREET and the EXORCIST, it makes no apologies for this and goes about the task with real zest and energy.

The cast have fun and are game for the ride with the reliable Michael Ironside thrown in the mix. As for Lisa Schrage.........I thought she was mesmerizing as Mary Lou with a truly memorable and genuinely unique character.

Very imagininative dream sequences abound such as the liquid blackboard scene and the possessed rocking horse in the bedroom was very creepy and not nearly as silly as it could have been. With little to boast of in budget, the SPFX here are ballsy and impressive.
Mary Lou kills and toys with victims on a sexual level too - especially as Vicky - when she goes mouth to mouth with her Dad(!), her headmaster (in his office!) and comes on to her best friend - the latter in a sequence culminating in a protracted and utterly unexpected full-frontal nude scene, stalking her prey around the changing room.

Never a dull moment.

And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all.

"Love" might be a bit strong of a term, but I really enjoy it. They should make more horror movies like this today.
