Loved this movie when I was a kid. Just watched it again
It has not aged well. So many movies I liked as a kid are awful when I watch them now. With the exception of Clue. Best comedy ever.

sharehahaha I have been thinking lately about how many movies I watched when I was younger seem so dumb and pointless now. Mainly any 90s movie that was made by lifetime
shareCompletely agreed with the OP. I loved this movie when i was a kid too, and i watched it a couple of weeks ago and still think it´s a funny and enjoyable movie...
Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.
Me too... I like this movie. It is a simple light feel-good film, sometimes you need those.
shareMany films are far-fetched. LOL Many would be stupid then.
I've always found this to be very charming.

shareI recall watching the trailer on vhs quite a bit.
shareI just re-watched this film after 12 years (when I was about 15) and I thought it has aged well. The comedy is just as funny as it was back then and the acting is pretty good. The only things that are dated is the fashion and the music (which I loved and was the main reason I wanted to see it again, to listen to the piano music).
It's one of those days...
The only things that are dated is the fashion and the music (which I loved and was the main reason I wanted to see it again, to listen to the piano music).Great points about the fashion and piano music. It may seem trite or superficial to say, but I have to admit that one of the reasons romance and comedy of the 1980s is some of my top favorite is because of the great soundtracks and scores those movies had. They are all at once mellow and cheery. They are the best! And the fashion's not bad either. Plus, people looked and sounded more sophisticated or mature back then, which is a real treat to see, compared to now, wherein every middle-aged person has started to look like they are barely out of their teens, etc.
I have to agree...I still love this movie!! Definitely SL's best work. I don't know why she never made it big after "Cheers." I thought she was lovely, classy, and a bit quirky. And an excellent sense of timing.
One thing I noticed is that the same music that's used at the end of "Hello Again" is used in the beginning of (I think) "The Breakfast Club." It's not the same musicians playing it, but it's definitely the same song. I'd love to get the soundtrack for HA.
So glad to see that I'm not the only one who loves this little gem!
