I may be wrong but I believe he died as a result of complications from AIDs. very sad
shareThat's what his webpage said. He got AIDs from a blood transfusion.
After looking him up, I remember seeing him on Night Court back in the 80's. And, of course, he was in HATH and Predator.
That is a sad story.

Yep there was an Harry and the henderson the tv show in the early 90s and harry sure looked the same but the rest of the actors were different. It was a sitcom and not a very funny one,the film is 100 times better.
shareWell according to his profile, he indeed did play Harry on the show version, however looking at the show's profile it appears he only did so for the first season or so, then the show had 2 other Harry's. So I guess he died during production of the show.
Kevin Peter Hall also protrayed the Predator in those movies. He was married to Alaina Hall who just passed on a few months earlier. I saw him with her on Sesame Street one time. She was once a regular on that show. His eyes were incredibly gentle and he was really tall, close to 7 feet and very slender.
shareHe was over 7' tall. In the bonus features of the dvd, the director says he was 7'2" I saw him in Night Court once where he played one of a group of mental patients arrested for causing a disturbance. They were being loud in the court room and Bull was having no luck settling them down. Then Hall stood up and said "Hey! The little fella said be quiet" lol
shareThanks Steven for the memory about Night Court, I loved that show; it was so awesomely crass and silly.

Reason is a pursuit, not a conclusion.
Never saw that one. Sounds hilarious to hear Bull called little.

I do feel the loss of the person who brought the character of Harry Henderson to life so vividly and so charmingly. I also know that I will always enjoy the film, but, now with an extra sentiment for Mr. Hall.
shareIn that case, I defer to the very personal, intimate relationship you apparently had with the man. I was just passing along info from his website.

From all accounts from his co-stars both in HATH and Predator, Kevin was a very kind person, a "gentle giant" as described by Bill Duke in the documentary on the Predator blu-ray.
He caught pneumonia and was given a tainted blood transfusion and passed away shortly after filming Predator 2.
