I would love to find this movie also..saw it many years ago...loved it. I've searched all over the net and can't find one. If you find a place that sells this movie...let me know (English subtitles) I'll definitely pay to get this.

Hello-- I think I found a place to buy the DVD. I did a Google Search for: Japanese Movie/Hachiko Monogatari and located a company that offers a DVD for $33.26.

I was bidding on a DVD of KOKO THE GORILLA THAT TALKS, and that reminded me of this excellent movie (Called HACHI-KO when I originally saw it in Los Angeles years ago)
