The husbands forgiving

Wow this movie is a real gem i enjoyed it so much witch i rarely do with cheating spouses because they never show a husband that will for give. why oh why is this so rare in Hollywood these days. this films plot with the right characters would be a big hit today with the way men feel they are being portrayed. Though he was portrayed as a good and forgiving guy in the end she would still be the wife who wanted a passionate love life and from what was shown she may not have gotten that. All was supposed to be well when she was home and love by him but was it. I don't understand that even though this was set in 1939 why she could not covey her issues to her husband. or why he did not try and to address her issues.
