I certainly know that at least some of this film was shot in Durban South Africa cos I met Dom DeLuise there and got his autograph
Going Bananas was shot in Durban and Johannesberg, South Africa, and outside of Harare, Zimbabwe. The exteriors of the little town were shot on the same sets outside Harare where King Solomon's Mines was filmed.
