Poor Merle!!

"Oh no, dude, your tunes!!"

Lemme just start by saying that I LOVE Ghoulies & Ghoulies II. 3 was ok and 4 just sucked. (Though it was cool Jonathan Graves come back as a cop!!)

I was rewatching them both on dvd last night and I got to thinking.... Poor Merle!! Not only do his friends look down and mistreat him, but he also gets a slow, suffering death at the hands of the Ghoulies!! (Duh, Duh Duhhh!! Cue The Pendulum Death.) Then everyone watching unknowingly cheers on said creatures for mummifying and stashing both halves of Merle's corpse in that coffin!!

Oh man, that was just cruel!!

Maybe I'm just a sucka for the underdog, but poor Merle!! (I actually feel a bit disturbed thinking about what happened to him right now.)

Even with that, I still love these first 2 films!!
