Joanna Cassidy - club scene goof

Has anybody realized that Joanna Cassidy appears in as an extra in this same film where she is playing Irina? The scene where she appears as an extra is that when the character played by Pierce Brosnan goes to the club with his two new neighbors. Right after they finish drinking in the bar, he goes with the other man's wife to the dancefloor, and at the beginning of that sequence, just when the drinking scene changes to the dancefloor one, there you got Joanna Cassidy with a different hairstyle than the one she was using to play Irina, dancing with an unknown man between the other people in the foreground. It's unmistakably her, I wonder why they did that huge goof, I mean, maybe they thought she was not a well enough known actress so let's use her also as an extra because nobody's gonna notice? Cant you just hire more extras that you have to recycle your main actors for the scenes with bunches of people?

I think that's a very obvious and serious mistake, has anybody besides me realized about that?

I haven't seen the film, but could there have been a subplot that was cut in which, for some reason, the character was doing something that would require a disguise?

Often such cuts happen, but scenes that refer to them have to be left in because they can't be reshot.

As an example: I'm fairly sure that there was quite a bit of that in "The Incredibles" - one scene in particular, when Elasti Girl watches the plane sinking; originally, she wasn't supposed to have been flying, and what she was watching was the ball cap that her friend who owned the plane and was originally supposed to be the pilot wore floating up from the wreckage.

Also, the scenes with Mr Incredible and Edna Mode seem to have been slightly re-arranged.

Another cast member seems to make an appearance as an extra, Phillip Jackson who plays burkinshaw, is on the train to colcester, as Caine,. follows the KGB agent. I'm sure it's him sat in the carriage.

Five years later but never mind!

Had a look at this scene and froze it - it looks very much like J Cassidy but isn't as far as I can see. Similar though. I don't think an actress of her stature would want to be cast an extra!

I agree. It just doesn't make any sense that she'd go and play another extra.🐭
