The um, sex scene..

I just watched this on a European DVD version last night. The scene between Brosnan and Joanna starts out with a silhouette of Brosnan on top through the bedroom curtain, then ends with a fairly tame shot of the climax, from a top down perspective of Brosnan's back. Your typical tame James Bond-type romantic love scene.

I saw this in the theaters at 16, and maybe it was the fact that I was a kid, and the fact that I was watching this with my mother, causing some discomfort, but this scene seemed quite a bit more explicit then. My recollection was that it was somewhat unexpected, with full blown faster-paced sweaty body slapping, shot from the perspective of behind Joanna's shoulder, full sides of both their bodies exposed, parallel to the side of the bed.

I distinctly remember it being more explicit than anything I'd ever seen at the time. I'm I just remembering wrong?

You were not imagining. I just got a DVD-R copy of the movie from a rare movie site and that sex scene is in the version I have, presumably the U.S.version. It is pretty explicit and a lot like youndescribe. I'm not surprised it was removed in other countries. Did the European version also delete showing her naked dead body when he goes looking for the key?

What?

We in Europe do NOT censor movies as bad you americans. We actually find sex to be something beatiful and natural. Hell we even have naked people in our ads on daily television. In your country (USA) every body part is muted out.

I remember when a *beep* up idiotic american mother asked if her son could watch hostel 2, it was okay as long as nobody had sex in it. A movie filled with gore and mayhem and she's worried about sex....

"Wait!" "Worry" "Who Cares?"

Not Europe but I've seen other films that have had nudity or sex cut for distribution to the middle-East, Africa and Asia. A friend of mine used to get bootlegs in South Korea, when he was stationed there in the 90's and the bootlegs usually were copied from theater showings and the movies usually had sex scenes and nudity cut from the American version. You are correct that Europe usually cuts violence instead of sexual content in films, but outside Europe it's a different story.

He'd put a towel around her in the version I saw.🐭

I bought my copy through Amazon UK,and the scene must be edited in the version I have, as I recall reading the sex sequence was pretty explicit; but it's certainly not anything unusual in this print.
