Why was Pierce pissed off after getting back from the club?

When he gets back from the club, he slams the door looking all angry. I couldn't tell if it was because they wasted his day against his will, or because he was sexually frustrated because he couldn't get with the cowboy soldier's wife who's pass at him he rebuffed. Which was it?

My guess is that it is closer to the second reason. There's a following scene where he looks through the window at a group of people playing strip poker (with the windows open!). He then moves to the opposite window to look at the wife, then cut to him lying in bed, gritting his teeth and moaning. Poor sap!

He may also have been worried that she will now be coming on to him. There's an obvious danger with him becoming too involved with other people, especially with people in the military. The more isolated he stays, the less chance of his cover being blown.

Surrounded by sex, unable to take advantage of it.
His job was all consuming and it was getting to him.🐭

I believe it's because he enjoyed their company and was angry with himself for liking them. It would make it harder to vaporise them if they were friends.

That's why he turned down the invitation initially, and only went when he found out it was inside the base. He didn't want to socialise, but to spy.

Yep he wanted a shag.
