I thought this was pretty good, actually
The biggest problem is the "production values"--it seems right on the borderline between a "no-budget" amateur film and a lower budget pro film. The story and script are pretty good though, as are the performances, and even for something a bit amateurish in terms of cinematography, lighting, etc., it comes across as the crew doing an enthusiastic job with the resources available. It even has a decent "atmosphere" in that it utilized its New York City setting well.
