Your thoughts on these films?

I'm creating a fresh thread because I think this collection deserves more discussion that the standard "First Post" and "I can't believe this" chatter.

I've just watched these films and was amazed by the vision and artistry enough to give this 8/10 stars, yet I think I could take my appreciation to the next level if I had more context and appreciation for the visuals and stories here. The imagery and music presented here are alternately beautiful and disturbing, but beyond the imagination and technique involved in the filmmaking, I'm not sure what to make of all this.

So I ask you: What did these films mean to you, did they affect you emotionally or intellectually, and will they stay with you long after you have seen them?
