I had the opportunity to buy it about a year ago at Barnes & Noble but thought I could find a cheaper copy. Now I'm kicking myself because it isn't available on Amazon anymore (except through a 3rd party for $75!). Does anyone know what happened to the DVD - has it been recalled, or has its production stopped? Please let me know. Thanks.
shareThis DVD is out of print. There is a new 2 disc DVD set that will be available April 2007 according to http://zeitgeistfilms.com/homevideo.php. The new DVD seems to be an enhanced version with In Absentia (2000) and more extras including some commentaries.

It IS discontinued through regular avenues. However, I heavily recommend getting the new two-disc collection, either from Zeitgeist directly or from any other sources that might carry it.
(working, as I do, at HMV, I can -and did- get it for a very reasonable $22 CND. XD)
The new collection is updated to include the short films up to 2003; In Absentia and The Phantom Museum are therefore included in the new version.
