Was the kissing scene ever put back into the film or shown as a "deleted scene"?

I never knew anything about a sex scene. But there was a kissing scene that removed. They didn't put it back in when they released it on DVD, VHS, LD, Vinyl Video, or some other media?

I saw the 'comforting' scene in the theatrical release. If they were the same color, there would've been much more.

I recall him holding her, as she cried, after her friend was killed. The next scene was her sticking her head in the bedroom & asking if he wanted some breakfast. He was in the bed. We were left to fill in the blanks.

Under the "trivia" section, it states that there was a love scene between Shepard and Goldberg that was edited from the theatrical release.

I'm not sure if its on the current DVD. If not, we'll probably have to wait for a "special edition" with deleted scenes. Maybe a twenty-five year anniversary DVD will be released.

The kiss is there at the end, but there was no love scene in the version I watched... I think it was cut, but the kiss does remain.

Yeah, they kept the kiss scene at the end because Sam Elliott's character wanted them to keep that scene in. It's strange that the same thing happened recently with the movie, Hancock. There's a kiss scene with Will Smith & Charlize Theron that was taken out. Strange, huh?

Yeah, I saw the Hancock cut scene on Youtube last week, I think... It seems to me that in this day and age audiences should have more important things to worry about, but we haven't progressed as far as we think, I guess...
