Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson who was portrayed by Nick Nolte (Jack Benteen) had his leather belts and gun rigs made at Uvalco, in Uvalde Tx.
I am sure this is where the rig was made.
The guy that did the leather work back then is either retired or has died, but his son has taken over and I understand his work just as good.
Or you can search for Ranger Jackson in Alpine Tx. he is a very friendly and would love to tell about his equipment.

I do not know where Ranger Jacksons gear was made. I work in an industry that has frequent contact with Texas Rangers and Special Rangers. Of the ones I have spoke with, all of their rigs, which look very similar to the one in the movie, were made in the Texas Department of Corrections shop in Huntsville. Made by convicts. Pretty cool. The buckles they make are available for purchase from the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame in Waco.

It was made in Uvalde Tx. at Uvalco by Joe Pena (deceased) now his grandson Ben Reyes now does the leather work there, and it is as high quality as Joe's was.
